Claudio Piccinini was born and lives in Modena, Italy.

He always liked to draw, then developed a great passion for comics. When "grown up" and having to find a job, he went into typesetting, then graphic design. And his love for letterforms, which has been with him from the beginning, started to grow, making him a self-taught type designer. He likes to design type with one eye to the Trajan Column and the other to wild experimentation.
