Type '90 HyperCard Video

This Hypercard video is a two minute excerpt from the Emigre Fonts presentation at the Type '90 ATypI conference which took place in Oxford, England, in 1990.

Originally created in HyperCard format, which generated a 2-bit video in real time, this animation illustrates the design concepts behind the early Emigre typefaces, during their first 6 year history.

It's primitive looking, but this was state-of-the-art personal computer animation in 1990. A copy of the animation is in the permanent design collection of MoMA in New York.
